We all know facial hair is a trend right now. Many men have facial hair and while clean shaven was a trend for a long while facial hair is the in trend right now for men. Unless you are a billionaire businessman or CEO of a fortune 500 company like Tim Cook (CEO of Apple), Jeff Bezos (CEO and Founder of Amazon) or Bill Gates (CEO and Founder of Microsoft) clean shaven is not a good look for you. Here are the in trends for facial hair


The goatee is a great classic style that goes great on every guy. There are a few good reasons to grow a goatee. First, it’s easy to grow one and it’s ideal for guys that can’t grow a full beard but still want to wear some facial hair. If your beard is uneven or grows thicker on the chin and upper lip area, then a goatee is perfect for you.


While a mustache is easy to grow and was the trend in the ’90s with popular actors like Will Smith sporting one in almost every movie he played in before the turn of the millennium. Mustaches are only really stylish for older men like Tom Selleck of Blue Bloods. If you are over the age of 60 and have the right lip and face a mustache might be a good look for you.


Made popular in the 70s during the hippie era this is one facial hairstyle that comes and goes in the form of fashion. Many bearded celebrities like Steve Jobs (Founder of Apple) over the years went from bearded to clean shaven back to bearded over the course of his life depending on the trend of the time. Beards have long been a classic look for men and realistically they won’t be disappearing anytime soon.

While there are many other kinds of facial hairstyles like the chinstache or chin runway look they are all forms of the three basic styles Goatee, Mustache or Beard.
