When shaving you want to get the best shave possible here are a few tips to help with that
Always Use a New or Sharp Blade
Nothing is worse than saving with an old or dull blade. This can cause razor burn, ingrown hairs, cuts, and skin irritation that can make you break out on your face. By using a new or sharp blade you can ensure that you get a close shave and your face and skin do not get burned or irritated.
Use a Brush to Lather Up
Always use a brush to lather up your face before shaving it’s the best part of the shave and it exfoliates your skin to remove dead skin and oils that can be in the skin that can cause shaving bumps and acne. Another great thing about using a brush is it lifts little hairs and whiskers up that you may not have gotten before shaving to help give you a closer shave.
Use the Right Shaving Cream
Sometimes even if you use a new blade and lather up properly you can have an issue with you face getting red and irritated. This can be because you used the wrong kind of shaving cream. Shaving cream comes as a gel, cream and even as a soap. Use trial and error to find out which one works best for you and your skin.
Shave the Right Direction
If you are someone who is constantly having issues with your razor burn or are constantly cutting yourself let me recommend shaving in one direction and going with the grain of the beard. I know when you go against the grain you get a better shave but many people cannot handle this and it can cause their face to bleed or get burned in the process.
